Meet Carson
I was born and raised in a small farm town on Chicken Dinner Road. Yep, welcome to Idaho. Growing up, my passions included sports, photography, and nature.
I believe everyone is innately creative, especially as children, but not everyone continues to use it. This was certainly the case for me in college as I pursued sports and a degree in science.
Pushing myself harder than my physical body could handle, I developed auto-immune issues and had to retire from college sports my final year of eligibility. With that extra time on my hands, I discovered Bob Ross and went to the craft store on a whim to purchase my first set of paints.
I felt an immediate connection to painting and was grateful for the peace it offered me. As I began to embrace my creativity again, my symptoms began to heal. Fast forward 4 years later, I am healthy and pursuing art full time (thanks Bob).
The creation of art is a mystical process that I believe will never be fully understood. I have come to learn that art is a portal of connection between the Divine and human life. What an amazing thing it is to create something that evokes different emotions in different people. The emotions I witness in reaction to my art give me even more motivation to continue connecting with this gift of creation.
I will be pursuing a 4 year medical degree in Naturopathic Medicine in the Fall of 2021. I give credit for my health to art and natural medicine. I eventually plan to integrate the two and empower others to embrace their own creative nature. There is so much healing and self-discovery to be found in creativity.
Thank you for supporting mine.
~Carson
